GATE process is an innovation project that aims for raising awareness and creating transformation towards gender equality with a focus on youth. Being one of the 17 UN sustainable development goals, we want to foster gender equality by working on two different levels :
1) Personal change
We develop innovative tools to support (young) people to understand the impact of gender differences in the social context of power and discrimination. We design and implement workshops for youth workers and develop innovative methods to promote gender awareness. Based on a collaborative innovation process among the partners and participants, we create a toolbox to enhance gender equality.
2) Organizational change
We aim for organizational transformation to support gender equality in workplaces. In a collaborative process we work with different organizations, where we uncover gender related inequalities and work on solutions for a more inclusive organizational culture. Based on this experience and further research, we create a methodological guide for the transition of organizations towards gender equality.
